With COVID-19 this year, Haywood County 4-H will miss seeing you at the Haywood County Fair! 4-H would like to celebrate our youth’s work with a 2020 Youth Photography Contest. Entries will be accepted through, Friday, September 4. Judging will take place on September 7–11. Winners will be announced Monday, September 14 and each of the winning Junior and Senior winners will be displayed on the N.C. Cooperative Extension of Haywood County website.

Three age divisions:

  • Cloverbud: AGES 5-8
  • Junior: AGES 9-13
  • Senior: AGES 14-19

The Youth Division is divided into two age groups for judging juniors are ages 9-13 and senior youth are ages 14-19. All photos must be the work of youth and made within the last year. First, second, and third place winners will be awarded based on quality for junior and senior youth entries. For youth ages 5-8, entries are non-competitive and will each receive a county winner certificate.

Digital PHOTOGRAPHY  

The number of photography entries is limited to one entry per youth, per category. All photos will be entered digitally via email to 4-H Agent Coley Bartholomew at coley_bartholomew@ncsu.edu  Please title each photo with entry details. For example:

First name_Last name_age_category

and include your mailing address in the entry email so winners can receive their awards.
