The hemp research season is drawing to a close for the NC Alternative Crops & Organics Program.

9/26/2021 – A North Carolina hemp grower shared this information about a webinar for North Carolina hemp growers transitioning to the USDA hemp licensing program. I don’t know why I didn’t get that email since I am also a North Carolina licensed hemp grower, so thank you Wayne for telling me about it! Here’s the text from the email:

Webinar: North Carolina Hemp Program Transition

Date: Wednesday, September 29, 2021

Time: Noon–2 p.m. EST

Description: In this webinar, USDA will provide North Carolina growers with an overview of the U.S Domestic Hemp Production Program. We will specifically cover licensing, sampling, testing, reporting, and compliance aspects of being a USDA licensed producer. We will also describe the logistics of transitioning from the North Carolina state program. After the presentation, there will be allotted time for Q&A. The webinar will be recorded and available on our website shortly after the meeting.
