Join 4-H and learn about the types of minerals and rocks right where you live! Create your very own rock collection! The best part? Discover alongside people who enjoy doing the same thing! This new 4-H Club will be in collaboration with the Henderson County Gem and Mineral Society!

How to join the Geology 4-H Club?

Joining 4-H is free and completed by creating a member profile in 4-H Online. You will chose Henderson County and select the Geology 4-H Club. Further information on creating 4-H Online profiles can be found here:  4-H Online Enrollment

If you are already enrolled in 4-H Online as a member you will need to login to your family account, select your youth’s profile, and go to the “Clubs” tab on the left hand side of your youth’s account. Under Clubs you will select a “new unit.” The Geology 4-H Club is listed.

Who can join?

4-H is for all ages 5-18. However, the Geology 4-H Club is catered to ages 8-12.

When/where will the Club meet?

Dates are currently set for the last Wednesday of the month beginning in April.

  • April 27, 3:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m., N.C. Cooperative Extension Office – Henderson
  • May 25, 3:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m., N.C. Cooperative Extension Office – Henderson
  • June 29, 3:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m., Field Trip
  • July 27, 3:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m., N.C. Cooperative Extension Office – Henderson
  • August 31, 3:30 p.m.-5:00 p.m., N.C. Cooperative Extension Office – Henderson
  • September – Final Show!
