2nd Annual Carteret County 4-H Dog Show
Carteret County 4-H held the 2nd Annual 4-H Dog Show in conjunction with National 4-H week. The dog show is organized and carried out by 4-H'er, Bethany Copeland. In an effort to share her passion for dogs, showing and training and the chance to expand her leadership skills, she started the 4-H Dog Show last year.
The Carteret County 4-H Dog Show welcomed youth and adults in the county to participate in three categories; a Costume Contest, Best Trick and Showmanship.This year, the event was hosted by Ms. Terry Murphy and held at Sound Dog Training Center in Newport. She graciously welcomed the event and took the opportunity to share some training tips with each of the youth. Judges for the event were Dolly Currier and Brenda Wallace.
