Congratulations to our own 4-H Youth Development Agent with N.C. Cooperative Extension -Carteret County, Coleman Killinger!

Coleman was recognized for multiple achievements during the 2023 North Carolina Association of Extension 4-H Youth Development Professionals Annual Conference on September 8th, 2023.

She received an award for the best Social Media Package or Campaign. Carteret County 4-H has used social media to reach youth and their families. During National 4-H week, they created a campaign that asked questions and invited followers to post pictures on their Facebook page. Winners were selected for each day.

Coleman also received an award for best Exhibit. Carteret County 4-H was an educational exhibitor asked to provide a unique education experience for youth attending an Earth Day Event at Core Sound Waterfowl Museum. Through educational posters and four hands-on activities, youth were able to see soil erosion happening and understand what they could do to stop it.

We appreciate all the outstanding work that Coleman does for Carteret County 4-H.
