Spring is in the air, and that means it’s time to get to planting. The Extension Master Gardener℠ Volunteer Association of Carteret County will have plenty of offerings to satisfy your green thumb at its annual Spring Plant Sale April 12 and 13 on the grounds of the Beaufort Historic Site on Turner Street. The sale will run from noon to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 12, and from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 13.
Many of the offerings are plants grown and nurtured by master gardeners, including native plants, herbs, bulbs, perennials, shrubs, and much more. Selections will include varieties that thrive in sun, shade, dry and wet areas. Master Gardener volunteers will be on hand to help with your plant selections and offer advice about
plants that will thrive in this area. There will be kids activities, too!
Need gardening gloves? We will have them available, too! Proceeds from the glove and plant sales fund the Master Gardener Scholarship Program for Carteret County students attending college in horticultural related programs.
The sale will continue until all plants are sold. Cash or check only, and no early birds, please!
