There is still time to plant spring flowering bulbs. If you can’t find what you are looking for in the local garden centers, consider looking in a mail order catalog.

It may also be nice to plant a few winter-blooming annuals like snapdragons, pansies, and violas to add some color in the landscape through the fall, winter, and early spring. Many of these will bloom off and on through the cool season, especially when we have a week or more of warmer weather.
