Reshaping Azaleas After Flowering

, Shawn Banks, discusses how to reshape azaleas that have been pruned over the years and are now looking box-like and no longer have a nice feathery look. If it looks like there are a lot of sticks and twigs starting to be on the outside where they're very visible, it's time to get the loppers out to remove some of them. To get rid of the old bulky look, you'll need to reach way down deep inside the shrub and cut the excess so you can't see where the cut was made.
