Adding Color With Hanging Baskets and Containers

It's a great time to start some annuals in containers or hanging baskets. Many annuals add season-long color to the garden while perennials often have a short lived, but beautiful show. Moving the containers of annuals around during the year can also add a little spice to the garden by creating a new look from time to time.

Many trees and shrubs also add color to the garden with a show of flowers for a few weeks, followed by colorful fruits later in the year. If, for example, holly berries are needed for holiday decorations, don’t cut off the spent flowers as that is what produces the berries.

No matter the gardening chore that needs to be done, there is often a tool, that if sharpened, will make the job much easier. Keep your tools sharp for a more pleasant gardening experience.
