Thunderstorms and Trees

(Updated: July 29, 2021, 6:50 a.m.)

It’s worth mentioning that with the heat comes severe thunderstorms. This means strong winds that can break off dead twigs and branches in trees and large shrubs.  If you can look up into the tree and see twigs and branches with no leaves, take the time to cut them out.

These twigs and branches can cause minor or major damage to houses, cars or people if they get blown out of the tree and hit something on the way down. If you have large, dead branches (over 4 inches in diameter), it may be safer to call a tree service and have a professional take them out.
