Community Service Opportunity with Broad Creek Middle School FBLA

  • Participants will be tying blankets to the donated to the Ronald McDonald House in Greenville, NC.
  • Friday, December 5 from 3-5 p.m. at Broad Creek Middle School
  • Let Mrs. Coleman know by Thursday, December 4 that you plan to attend.
  • 4-H members will meet in the office of BCMS.

Carteret County 4-H Shooting Sports Open House

  • Saturday, December 6 from 9 – 11 a.m. in Newport
  • All youth, ages 8-18, with a parent or guardian, are welcome to attend.
  • Come out to meet the coaches and team and learn about the club, practices and 4-H tournaments.
  • Try shotgun, archery and rifle.
  • All attendees will be asked to sign a waiver prior to entering the range.

SALT (Serving and Leading Together) Crew

  • Teen Leadership Program for youth in grade 6th-11th that focuses on the development and growth of the future leaders of our communities.
  • A co-sponsored program between Carteret County 4-H and Carteret County Parks and Rec.

Cookies for the Troops

  • Tuesday, December 16 from 4-5:30 p.m. at Fort Benjamin Park
  • We will be packing home-baked cookies and making cards for active duty military members.
  • We are in need of cookie donations – please bring home-baked cookies with you to the event or drop them off at Fort Benjamin.
  • Open to youth and adults.
