Description: Contact Tracy LeCompte at tracy_lecompte@ncsu.edu for zoom meeting details.

Today's program will be a bake along with Creative Minds Homeschool 4-H Club.  Here is the recipe if you would like to follow along!

Equipment:

Bundt pan
1 medium size mixing bowl
1 large mixing bowl
Large spoon or scoop
whisk/fork
Silicone spoonula/scraper

Ingredients:

2 cups AP flour
1 stick or 1/2 cup of your favorite butter, margarine or non-dairy "butter" softened
1 cup of brown sugar
2 large eggs
3/4 tsp baking soda
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup of sour cream
Pinch of salt
Chocolate chips as wanted
Cinnamon sugar for sprinkling
Powdered sugar for dusting

Recipe:
Preheat oven for 350*
In a medium bowl whisk or sift together flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
In the large mixing bowl, using your spoonula, mix sugar and butter. Mix until sugar and butter are fully incorporated into each other. Add 1 egg and whisk into butter/sugar mixture until fully incorporated and it gets a little fluffy.
Once the first egg is fully incorporated, add the second egg. Mix until slightly fluffy.
Start adding 1 scoop of flour & fully incorporate into mixture. Then add some sour cream. Alternate flour and sour cream; ending with flour. Make sure each addition is fully incorporated before adding the next. Batter may seem stiff. That's ok.
Fold/mix in as many chocolate chips as you like.
Once everything has been mixed, set the bowl aside to allow the flour to absorb as much moisture as it can.
Grease your bundt pan, taking care to ensure the middle is properly greased.
Once this is done, start scooping in your batter. Once all the batter is in smooth out.
Sprinkle cinnamon sugar to the top. The entire thing should be coated.

Pop in the oven for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clear. Allow to cool, turn out and allow to cool 100%. Dust with powdered sugar once fully cooled.
